Methodology

We show user reports only. We don't check services automatically and never claim they work.

Reports from the last 15 minutes are compared with the usual level at the same time of day over the previous 4 weeks, weekdays and weekends separately.

"Reports are coming in clearly faster than usual" needs an increase held for 3 consecutive minutes, "Looks like an outage" a strong increase for 5 minutes. Until a service has 21 days of history a fixed threshold applies: 10 reports in 15 minutes, in at least 3 different minutes.

Thresholds aren't calibrated on real outages yet.
